online store 2020 Season of Light — Music For Healing & Transition Program

2020 Season of Light: $10,000 Matching Donation

An unprecedented matching donation was made by a friend of MHTP, which doubled the individual donations made through your virtual candle dedications by $10,000. We met and exceeded that goal. THANK YOU!

Your donations so far: $10,375
Donations matched: $10,000 WE MET OUR GOAL!

Total: $20,375

Just as the light of candles dispels the physical darkness, so can therapeutic music dispel physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual darkness. Your virtual candle donations help Certified Music Practitioners provide live therapeutic music to more patients, their loved ones, and the staff who care for them, especially during the pandemic.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our 2020 Season of Light. The virtual candle lighting ended on December 31. You can view and honor the dedications below. MHTP is a 501c3 tax-exempt educational organization in compliance with IRS regulations, and we welcome your tax-deductible donations.

In honor: Dedicated to Carol Spears and the 2020 Virtual Conference Committee for an excellent conference. Thank you! $100. —Sandy Gianniny, CMP

In honor of Rosalie Fridell: My grandmother was one of those people who thrived on chafing against things that she couldn't control. If she was in Florida, she griped about hurricanes. If she was in Minnesota, she griped about snow. But her parting words by letter, phone, or in person, were always a joyous "take care of each other!" This, truly, is our only mission in life. You can't pour from an empty cup, so the first step is to take care of yourself. And then: TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER! $25.

We are so lucky here, surrounded by nature’s bounty.
Mountains, rivers, woods.
Life has mountains that seem impossible to climb, rivers that can sweep us away, and dark woods that can swallow us.
Thankfully, there are helping hands, shoulders to lean on.
Gentle support to carry us.
Look, to the light.
Thank you, staff, for keeping our residents safe.
Thank you, residents, for staying strong.
I miss you all and look forward to the day we can be together in person again!—Angela Brown, CMP
