2024 CMP Employment Survey
Employment Survey responses are valuable in giving ideas and actions to CMPs for use in offering their services to healthcare facilities. The data that we collect also helps healthcare administrators understand the value in providing paid work opportunities for CMPs.
This year’s survey netted 167 responses of roughly 1,090 MHTP graduates. Thank you to all who responded.
Results
The survey results showed that 73.7% are currently working or volunteering as a CMP. Mostly they work in an urban (40.7%) or Suburban (42.5%) environment and about 60% work under 10 hours per week. Most CMPs are satisfied with their current weekly hours; 35% percent would like more hours. The fee per hour ranged greatly, depending on locale. About 65% answered that they make between $40 and $89 per hour. Those who are paid more than $90 per hour represented 6.7% of respondents.
