Live Therapeutic Music and Behavioral Health

This event is 4:00 pm EASTERN TIME (3:00 pm Central, 2:00 pm Mountain, 1:00 pm Pacific).

We began to explore the topic of live therapeutic music in behavioral health settings in the medical specialties panel at the MHTP 2024 conference. Join now in this interactive webinar to go deeper into discussions and challenges on how to best use your therapeutic music training and skills for this patient population.
This interactive webinar is facilitated by a CMP who also holds a Doctor of Psychology degree in clinical psychology. Come prepared with your questions, and/or to share your own experiences in working with behavioral health patients. All are encouraged to attend, whether you have had experience in behavioral health or not.

Along with the webinar information and discussion, you will receive handouts and the webinar recording for review after the class.Examples of information for discussion:

  • Know your role and limits as a certified therapeutic musician

  • Differences between a Music Therapist and a certified therapeutic musician

  • Communication with healthcare staff

  • Examples of kinds of music that may be appropriate
